Solmeri Srl (formerly known as Solving Italia Srl) based in Lesa, in the province of Novara, on the shores of the suggestive Lake Maggiore, was founded in 1994 on the initiative of Engineer Markku Mertanen.
Eng. Mertanen had worked for 6 years as a commercial attaché at the Finnish embassy in Milan and thanks to numerous meetings and contacts with Finnish and Italian companies, he saw an opportunity in creating a bridge between theinnovation and the Finnish technology and theexcellence of the Italian industry, starting with shipbuilding.
